Design Process
The design process is the spine of quality creative solution. Even thinking by jumping the steps is a part of this creative process! We would like you to go through the design process we follow at wisdom tree.
Stage 1 Problem area
Knowledge of the broad problem area helps in efficiencies of time and effort. It often guides us in taking a broad view for holistic planning of a project. We draw immediate, mid-term and long term plans. A problem area guides us in making the creative solution relevant.
Stage 2 Information
On any project we like to have as much information as possible. Besides gaining knowledge on tangible areas like materials and production processes, we also seek information on intangibles like audience behavior, tastes, culture and lifestyles.
Stage 3 Analysis
Analyzing the information helps focus on important issues. It often leads to cross-connections that are valuable for reaching relevant solutions.
Stage 4 Problem definition
The multiple viewpoints we take while analyzing both, a problem and its information, lead to an insightful definition of the problem.
Stage 5 Conceptualization
We generate a variety of ideas without bothering about critical evaluation of any idea. We use the idea prism where one message can be expressed in a variety of ways. We follow this process with qualitative evaluation for selecting the most appropriate concept.
Stage 6 Solution
This is the idea that has the ability to solve our communication problem while being aesthetically appealing. It meets the brand personality. An effective design and communication solution helps generate desired audience response.
Stage 7 Execution
Managing budgets and timelines are administrative aspects of execution. A major part of our effort goes into applying the right art and craft in detailing the solution. It could be choice of illustration, photography style and typeface. In short, execution is about details.
